Meet Our Team
Joanne Downes – Owner
A boutique owner since 1980, Joanne opened her first boutique in Ocean City, New Jersey. During this time, a passion for retail was ignited. Kids Clothesline, a children’s boutique in the Borough of Malvern, soon followed. As her customers grew so did the store. Needing more space, Occasions Boutique opened in 2000 to better accommodate the growing communion business. At her customer’s request, she added prom and eventually women’s formal wear, further expanding the store. Loyal customers from her children’s boutique return again and again for their family’s special occasion needs. Mother’s who bought their daughter First Holy Communion dress come in seeking a dress for that same daughter’s wedding! She is firmly committed to satisfying every customer.
“It has been a pleasure meeting, and extremely rewarding serving the mothers and daughters in our community for so many years!”
